Freeze warning issued for Tuesday night

Residents in Northwest Missouri and across the region likely woke up with snow covering their lawns and windshields this morning.

Meteorologist with the National Weather Service Brent Pesel says the snowfall should wrap up before lunchtime, but temperatures will remain low through the night, with the National Weather Service issuing a freeze warning.

Pesel says it's too early to tell if today's snowfall will be the last of the season, but things should warm up this weekend. He adds freezing temperatures this late aren't abnormal, with the region seeing temperatures below freezing as late as April 18th last year.
